Support
Ember is a small independent project, so support is one mailbox and one person reading it — but it is read.
What to write about
- Something is broken, or Ember is mishearing you.
- A question about what data is collected or how it is used.
- A request to delete your data, or to disconnect an account.
- A security problem you have found.
- A feature you wish it had.
Expect a reply within a few days. Deletion and privacy requests are answered within 30 days, and usually far sooner.
Disconnecting your Google account
You can cut Ember off from your Google data at any moment, three ways:
- From inside Ember — open settings and disconnect the account.
- At myaccount.google.com/permissions — find Ember in the list and remove its access.
- At security.google.com/settings/security/permissions — the same thing, from Google's security settings.
Any of those stops access immediately. Ember deletes the stored tokens for that account when it next runs.
Deleting your data
Because Ember is self-hosted, your conversation history and settings live on your own machine — you can delete them yourself, and no request to anyone is required. If you want a hand doing it, or want written confirmation for your records, write to [email protected].
Reporting a security issue
Send it to [email protected] with as much detail as you can. Please give a reasonable window to fix it before publishing.
